In general, the fast is considered valid if the individual abstains from food, drink, and other specific activities from dawn until sunset, with the intention of fulfilling the religious obligation. However, there are certain exceptions and conditions that may affect the validity of the fast, such as illness, travel, or menstruation for women. It is important for individuals to seek guidance from religious scholars or leaders if they have any doubts about the validity of their fast. **
